Thermo-active piles are an upcoming technology for the utilization of subsurface geothermal energy in urban areas. This environmentally friendly has already been widespread heating and cooling buildings temperate regions, whereas tropical regions it is still limited due to their unbalanced demands. paper presents 3D thermo-hydraulic coupled numerical simulations assess long-term performance thermo-active pile systems environments different The based on real data (in situ tests field investigations) considering three typical thermal solicitations, thereby maintaining practical relevance. Moreover, exchange within soil control volumes quantified approach that allows calculating conductive advective divergence. Parametric analyses regarding solicitation, diameter, groundwater flow also performed. results indicate plays most important role improving balance piles.
